At the end of the road...

Wednesday afternoon. Autumn. Cold chilly wind coming over from Wales. Winter is in the air and colours are changing rapidly. I parked my car on the narrow road which curves down to the marshes and prepared my easel. Today I must be quick. Clouds are racing through the sky, leaving some rain so now and then. My fingers are starting to stiffen. But it's worth it. Spectacular light and impressive colours like this you will not get every day. Glad to have captured that moment of connection with what you perceive...

This oil painting is a memory of all those times I bend down that road, looking onto Wales, over the colour patched marshes. Happy days.
