The beauty of overcast...

A great site for plein air painting: the port. The weather wasn't perfect with a quite heavy overcast reducing the contrast of the scene. Trying to memorize the effect of the little rays of sun lashing out so now and than between the grey clouds. An overcast day at the port. It's incredible being aware of how atmosphere changes in a fraction of a second.
