Tranquil memories of a violent past...

March, north of Fuerteventura. Winter light casting long shadows and dazzling clair obscures, following the trail of the trade winds, surprising us with beautiful afternoons. Here I (re)discovered the million earth tones, the greens of the moss and the grey´s of granite. Giving the landscape this particular feast of colors.

I painted this oil on canvas in two sessions. In the first session the clouds just vanished in a few minutes... the charm of painting outdoors… It's a treat painting in these peaceful and beautiful surroundings.
